Individualized and family-centered breastfeeding support.

Many new parents struggle with breastfeeding in the first weeks and wonder how to make things better. If you have found yourself searching for a quick fix at 3am or have felt like the sky is falling right before your eyes, you are not alone! Let me help. I would love to meet everyone when they are pregnant to help start breastfeeding education before things unfold, but if you already have a baby in your arms it’s time to introduce yourself so we can find your confidence.

Hi! I’m Lauren.

I’ve been a Registered Nurse since 2009 with experience caring for newborns and families in a hospital setting. I’ve been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2017 using my skills in a local hospital as well as in homes.

We will work together well if you want an in-home lactation consultant who:

  • finds balance for your specific situation

  • uses evidence-based practices

  • intuitive to your wants and needs

  • compassionate and judgement-free breastfeeding support

How can I help you?

  • Great! Congratulations! Breast/chestfeeding looks different for every family. I would love to hear your expectations and what it can look like in your family. Did you know breast/chestfeeding is preventative medicine? It’s now common for insurance to pay for lactation consultations to help you reach your goals.

  • Thanks for being here! It sounds like you have a reason to both want human milk to be a part of your feeding plan AND also give your baby what is best. Let’s talk more abd we can work on your options to create a plan that works well for your and your baby.

  • Ah, enjoy these moments of wonder! The story will unfold and I’m excited to hear from you. Here is a great video to watch and practice.

  • Welcome home! What a wild time. We can definitely find a time to meet soon! In the meantime, check this if you need some general tips.

  • Great job getting to a place of “new normal” and well done team for learning each other! Let’s have a consult to figure out what this next season looks like.

  • What a bittersweet time. Exciting to think about and also hard to know what steps to take. Unless there is something urgent, I usually recommend gentle weaning (here’s what that means). Either way, we can make a plan that works for your family.

  • Pumping is breastfeeding! Let’s make a plan and set things up!

  • Awesome! What a complement from our mutual contact! Let’s get started.

What to expect from a home lactation visit

In your home, we can slow things down and focus on feeding in a calm, comfortable space.

A typical in-home lactation visit includes:

  • Reviewing your birth and feeding history

  • Observing a full feeding

  • Hands-on support with latch and positioning

  • Assessing your baby’s feeding and milk transfer

  • Creating a realistic, personalized feeding plan

  • Time for questions and ongoing guidance

You’ll leave feeling more confident and supported—never rushed or overwhelmed.

  • You’re concerned about milk supply or weight gain

  • Feeding sessions feel long or exhausting

  • You’re pumping and unsure if it’s working

Questions new parents often ask

  • No. Early lactation support can prevent small concerns from becoming bigger challenges.

  • Ongoing pain is not something you should have to tolerate. Support can help improve comfort.

  • Yes. My role is to support your feeding goals—whatever they may be.

  • Feeding your baby and protecting your well-being matter most. Support should never feel like pressure.
