Meal Planning: Different Seasons
Some days you have cravings and some days there isn’t enough energy to think creatively.
It’s not that simple but those are two things I remember about growing a baby both in and out of the womb. Some days I just wanted a baked potato and made it happen. Then at times I had no energy to focus on how to feed myself beyond putting it on a plate. I think this is natural for all people. And being human is harder some days than others.
In the last few years I have found RecipeTinEats. I’m not sure how it happened but we haven’t experienced a bum recipe so we keep coming back for inspiration and well tested takes on some of our favorites. I thought I’d share some of our family favorites and see if it helps anyone accomplish meal planning or make eating more enjoyable. I’ll also share some links to some of our other regular recipes. Full disclosure: our immediate family has no specific eating needs or allergies. If your family does, hopefully there is at least an idea in my list to get you started.
One of my favorite adulting activities is grocery shopping. But if that’s a struggle today, then put your Instacart/pick up order in and have someone else ease that load too. There are seasons for everything and today is an okay day to figure out a new way to make things work. It will not look like this forever.
